About the Programme

The ISOCARP Student Award, established in 2016, is dedicated to the future generation of planners, those who will be in charge of taking care of our urban environment. The award is bestowed to a student or a group of students at both levels (undergraduate-bachelor and graduate-master) with outstanding results in urban and regional planning or related field. The Award is bestowed in two categories: Winner and Special Mention. The Award winners are announced during the official ceremony at the 57th ISOCARP World Planning Congress in Doha, Qatar in November 2021.

Who's Coming

Any currently enrolled or recently graduated (in 2020) student can apply. The submissions may include the following: - Design projects - Studio projects - Essays - Bachelor theses - Master theses

About You

Submission material Each candidature (individual or group) should submit 3 files including: - Portfolio with graphical representations necessary to illustrate the work (max. 4 A3 pages) - Description of the submitted project (no more than 5,000 characters with spaces) - Curriculum Vitae Application procedure Please, send your application(s) by email to Ana Peric, ISOCARP Director for Awards ([email protected]) and Jonas Le Thierry d’​Ennequin, ISOCARP Secretariat ([email protected]). Email subject line: SA 2021 Candidature Naming attached files: NAME_Portfolio / NAME_Description / NAME_CV Selection and rewards The Jury, composed of members from the Board, Scientific Committee, and young planners, will evaluate applications according to the following criteria: - Content - Methodological approach - Creativity and innovation - Alignment between the project idea and results - Clarity The reward for the ‘Winner’ is one year of free individual membership to the Society; free entrance to the 57th World Planning Congress in Doha; an official certification of the Student Award; appearance in the Society’s website, social media, and newsletter.
