Jetzt geht‘s also erst richtig los!

Our recent workshop in #Hanoi on #electric2wheelers for EU-funded SOLUTIONSplus project sets a clear path: Develop a city-wide vision for #e2w-sharing & #MaaS, integrated into urban goals, i.e., What is the overall vision for Hanoi? How can electric two-wheelers and shared mobility systems elevate Hanoi's urban landscape? In collaboration with UN Environment Programme, we also explored MRV and gender-inclusive transition to electric mobility. The MRV framework is pivotal in ensuring the effectiveness of our measures, offering a structured approach to evaluating our progress. Engaging national and local government representatives, academia, NGOs, and CSOs, we tackled the vast opportunities presented by technology and market potential. Despite these opportunities, we recognized the need for enabling policies to integrate e2w-sharing into our public transport system effectively. 📢 Coming Soon: Keep an eye out for our policy advice paper on electric 2-wheeler-sharing in Hanoi, where we tackle barriers and offer actionable policy recommendations. Special thanks to our other colleagues who joined us in the workshop: Hassan Hussin from Rupprecht Consult GmbH underscored the necessity of integrating Mobility-as-a-Service (#MaaS) into a mobility plan. We delved into the Sustainable Urban Mobility Planning (#SUMP) process, covering: 1) Preparation and Analysis - Identifying challenges and assessing existing infrastructure. 2) Strategy Development - Setting clear objectives and targets. 3) Plan Formulation - Translating strategies into actionable plans. 4) Implementation and Monitoring. Tory Damantoro from Indonesia Transport Society shared insights from Bandung's experience with 2w-sharing and the government response to emerging mobility solutions. He emphasized the importance of crafting a vision for Hanoi as a city with sustainable mobility and for the role of bike-sharing and electric 2-wheelers in the urban goals. Anouj Mehta also joined us from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with the same message on formulating green mobility strategy as one of the fundamental first steps. 🚀Ready to embark on a transformative journey towards climate neutrality? The Cities Mission Call for #TwinCities is now open until 31 May! 💡 As a Twin City, you'll engage in a dynamic exchange with #PilotCities, learning from their innovative approaches and sharing good practices with them. This collaborative effort will speed up decarbonisation in both your city and the Pilot City you are paired with. By the end of the programme, you will develop a concrete Action Plan to implement learnings and drive progress towards climate neutrality in your city. If your city is committed to climate neutrality, is located in an EU country or an #HorizonEU associated country and is not currently part of the EU Cities Mission or the Twinning and Pilot Cities Programmes, seize the opportunity to drive positive change before 31 May: https://lnkd.in/d4BgCP-9 #EUmissions #MissionCities

There's never enough time to say everything that could be said, but it was nice to be on a panel at Autonomy World Mobility Expo (#AMWE) here in Paris representing the #Interreg North Sea project #sharedmobilityforall. Our session was called Sharing is Caring: Keeping Everyone on Board. Our SMALL project messages are clear: Shared mobility services complement public transport, they need to meet the needs of a wide range of users, and the best way to do this is to talk to potential users directly to find out what their needs are (#cocreation). Also important: people with reduced mobility is not a niche market. When you meet the needs of children and families, elderly people and people with physical disabilities, you're making life easier for a large portion of the population. Thanks for the exchange, Marc Naether, Tjalle Groen, Hassan Mahdavi and for the expert moderation, Ivo Cré.
