Celebrating Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander Month together In May, we’re proud to celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander (#AANHPI) Heritage Month in the US and #AsianHeritageMonth in Canada, celebrations dedicated to recognizing the countless contributions of Americans and Canadians of Asian descent to the strength of our societies. This year, the national theme for the US observance is #AdvancingLeadersThroughInnovation. We use these flowers – a celebratory fixture across AANHPI cultures – in our imagery to symbolize that leaders, like flowers, are ever evolving, creating new leaders by begetting a safe environment for those coming after them to thrive. At Ramboll, our mission is to create sustainable societies where people and nature flourish. We are dedicated to broadening participation of underrepresented talent in our industry; thus, equality, diversity, and inclusion is an integral part of everything we do. We work every day to build and foster an inclusive workplace where all employees have the opportunity to thrive and feel that they belong. #inclusion #aanhpimonth #brightminds #drivenbyinnovation #aapimonth #asianheritagemonth

Are you planning a new construction project? Take a look at the benefits of renovation instead 🏙️ 👀 In pursuit of a more sustainable future, we must reevaluate the need for new construction, particularly when existing properties offer opportunities for repurposing and refurbishment. With careful planning and management, these repurposed assets could not only appeal to tenants but also be more resilient to a changing climate, catering to a variety of future needs and functions. Swipe through to learn why renovating existing properties is crucial for reducing carbon emissions and costs in building projects 👇 And find out more about the benefits of renovation: 👉 https://lnkd.in/eZMwyc6u #LetsCloseTheGap #PartnerForSustainableChange #RespectReviewRenew

Unlocking the power of data for sustainable architecture 🌍🏙️ For the first time ever, we are making our carbon data for buildings openly available for all stakeholders across industry and governments through the CO2mpare database. Understanding carbon distribution in buildings is pivotal for decarbonisation. Yet, access to consistent data is not easy to come by. With CO2mpare, we are bridging this gap, offering insights from +130 projects worldwide. Key features include: 🔍 Reviewing carbon levels across six countries and ten typologies 🔄 Comparing new-builds vs. renovations 📊 Analysing carbon distribution within the dataset Paul Astle, Decarbonisation Lead at Ramboll, emphasises the importance of this initiative and the necessity for industry collaboration.
Water is powerful. It can support peace or create damaging conflict within communities and between nations 💧 🤝 As we commemorate World Water Day under the theme “Water for Peace”, let’s recognise the crucial role water plays in fostering stability and harmony. In a world grappling with climate change and unequal access to this vital resource, it’s imperative to collaborate for equitable water management. Today, we’re looking at four of our water projects that reflect how we do that. From managing groundwater resources in California to rebuilding water infrastructure in Ukraine, explore how we integrate social, environmental, and geopolitical considerations for a brighter, water-secure future.
