Prior + Partners is a new practice that brings together the disciplines of architectural masterplanning, public realm design, socio-economics and infrastructure planning with the purpose of creating meaningful and successful places. Our projects deal with the challenge of creating new cities and places; cities in transition or failed city quarters. In most cases the successful realisation of these projects requires many years of stewardship and an acceptance that an instant solution may not be the most sustainable one.

Prior + Partners has an immediate opportunity for a GIS specialist with experience in urban design and masterplanning projects to join our growing spatial data science team. We are a team of urban designers, architects, planners, and public realm specialists based in London. As a masterplanning, urban design, and strategic planning practice, we believe in a data-driven and integrated approach to the design of cities and complex urban environments.

We are looking for a talented and dedicated GIS specialist to join our team and welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate some or all of the following: Essential skills - 3+ years of professional experience in using GIS software on masterplanning and urban design projects (including the UK and international/Middle East projects). - Strong knowledge and experience in the use of GIS software (QGIS and/or ESRI ArcGIS Pro/ArcMap). - Strong data management skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent report writing abilities. - Strong analytical and quantitative skills, highly proficient in working with large quantities of data. - Strong spatial data modelling experience and working knowledge of geospatial and mapping techniques. - Excellent graphic and cartography skills. - Experience in communicating analytical insights graphically. - Adaptable, able to multitask and perform a variety of tasks using GIS. Desirable skills - Exposure to ESRI ArcGIS Online tools. - Exposure to BI (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI)
