About the Role

C40 Cities is looking for a Head of Strategic Partnerships to lead and strengthen its fundraising and partnership work. The role sits within the Governance & Executive Engagement department and works closely with senior leadership to design and deliver C40’s fundraising strategy, build strong relationships with funders, and support the organisation’s global climate mission.

What You're Gonna Do

- Support the design and delivery of C40’s fundraising strategy. - Oversee annual and monthly work plans for the Fundraising team. - Develop strategy and delivery plans for event sponsorships. - Strengthen collaboration between fundraising and partnerships teams. - Build strong relationships with existing and prospective funders. - Work with internal teams to understand funding needs and align partners with priorities. - Support senior leadership, mayors and boards in fundraising-related activities. - Maintain and improve C40’s funder database / CRM system, including Salesforce. - Support internal communications around fundraising and help build a culture of philanthropy. - Line manage 1–2 team members. - Attend local and international events where needed.

About You

- Strong fundraising experience. - Experience working in a global context. - Experience developing funding and sponsorship packages. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. - Experience using and managing a CRM database. - Experience conducting due diligence on prospective funders. - Strong organisational, analytical and planning skills. - Strong interpersonal and networking skills, especially with senior executives. - Experience working with multiple internal and external stakeholders. - Line management experience. - Experience in climate, environment or sustainability is preferred.

What We Offer

- Full-time role. - Indefinite contract. - Location: London, hybrid. - Salary: Grade 2, UK GBP £77,795 gross per year. - Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK. - Moderate travel will be required. - Benefits include paid time off, flexible working, parental leave, TOIL, training opportunities, employee assistance programme, pension scheme and private health insurance where applicable.
