About Us

Google’s mission is to organize the world‘s information and make it universally accessible and useful.

About the Role

As a member of Google’s transportation team, you play a key role in Google’s growth. As Google expands its real estate footprint, we do so with the audacious goal of making traffic better as we expand. We believe that roadway improvements such as better bike lanes, pedestrian paths and carefully selected capacity projects can create a better environment for our employees and for the entire community. In this role you will oversee the critical step of advanced ideas from the master planning level into actionable plans for transportation infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between the transportation master planning team, the campus design team and infrastructure team. You'll be involved in forming a vision for the future and prioritizing the transportation improvements to make that happen. You will be looking for opportunities to align with and move forward established city and regional transportation plans, and you will always be looking for solutions that shift users away from driving their personal autos and into forms of shared transportation. The Real Estate and Workplace Services (REWS) team creates inspiring spaces and innovative services that bring Google’s culture and values to life. We build and maintain all aspects of what keeps our Googley workspaces operating seamlessly across multiple cities and regions globally. We also manage the industry-leading services that help make Google a great place to work -- from how we design healthy and collaborative workspaces, create energizing food experiences, provide convenient transportation and fitness options, to delivering inclusive environments where Google and our employees can thrive.

What You're Gonna Do

- Work closely with multiple teams to plan Google’s future and create a vision for growth that matches goals of minimizing traffic impacts, maximizing community, enhancing ecology, sustainability, and other factors. - Partner with staff and elected officials from area cities, agencies, and planning bodies to integrate Google’s goals with existing plans. Maintain communications and relationships with internal and external stakeholders - Develop transportation plans that translate the vision into actionable steps; sequence and prioritize specific projects to fulfill the transportation and design visions - Develop and guide an approach for managing specific plans, precise plans and general plans in our cities of focus, so that Google’s long-term growth is maximized through these public processes - Participate in the development of long-term strategies to reduce congestion, prioritizing modes that are the most efficient and sustainable
