About Us

We are Sustrans. We are the charity that makes it easier for people to walk and cycle. We are engineers and educators, experts and advocates. We connect people and places, create liveable neighbourhoods, transform the school run and deliver a happier, healthier commute. Sustrans works in partnership, bringing people together to find the right solutions. We make the case for walking and cycling by using robust evidence and showing what can be done. We are grounded in communities and believe that grassroots support combined with political leadership drives real change, fast.

About the Role

This is a very exciting role to support the delivery of high quality imaginative design work for the Street Design and Pocket Places programme. There will also be a requirement to assist with data analysis required to develop design proposals within the Street Design and Pocket Places programmes. This may include analysis of data collected on vehicle movements, traffic speeds and point and origin data.

About You

With relevant practical experience, you will have experience of working on design projects with direct community engagement. You will have experience in leading workshops, of working on diverse projects implementation and of effective and productive partnership working. Your excellent visual presentation skills will complement your good written and verbal communication skills and your ability to be proactive. You will also have knowledge and understanding of active travel and be committed to the promotion of sustainable transport.
