About the Role

CULTURAL PLACEMAKING STRATEGIST THE ORGANISATION: Futurecity is a cultural placemaking agency that creates cultural strategies, brokers cultural partnerships and delivers major arts projects for clients across the public and private sectors. Focusing primarily on the urban realm, the role looks to bring together creative people and urbanists to develop culturally sustainable, authentic and distinctive places. There is no one template; we craft specific approaches for each place. THE OPPORTUNITY: We’re seeking a Strategist to manage the development and delivery of cultural placemaking strategy projects; nurturing client relationships; and researching project or industry specific issues. You’ll get the chance to work on national and international projects of cultural significance and really make ground-breaking changes in the urban realm. Current projects include (but not limited to) London, Basildon, Bristol, and Melbourne, Australia.

What You're Gonna Do

- Deliver strategy projects for the Company to the highest possible standard, on time and on budget - Liaise and develop relationships with internal and external project and design teams, including architects, landscape architects, engineers, galleries, community organisers, and cultural institutions - Compile fee proposals, project briefs and visual presentation material for clients - Present to clients, project teams and external parties - Manage client care in terms of proactive communication, attending milestone meetings and aftercare - Prepare and contribute to new strategy scopes / proposals for new business - Project-specific policy research and cultural audits

About You

- A project deliverer with great interpersonal skills and a background in arts / architecture / design - Enthusiastic about international transformative projects - A team player but self-directed - Passionate about urban placemaking and the arts sector - Love data AND narrative - Able to manage time efficiently and prioritise concurrent tasks - Have a relevant degree and experience

What We Offer
