About the Role

We’re seeking a Head of Public Art to lead the organisation on the public art commissioning and the advocacy and relationships that relate to the role of public art in the urban realm. The work should include the demonstration of excellence in delivery across sculptural and programmatic arts. There are very high-profile projects (London and international) already secured for the year As a Head of Department, the role is responsible for arts delivery projects and assigning resourcing to support the multiple deliveries, to lead on facilitating new business pitches and proposals and to support the Arts Team to ensure they uphold the standard of delivery for the company. This role will include international travel.

What You're Gonna Do

- To lead on all public arts projects ensuring projects run to time and on budget and to guide and provide management and mentorship to Curators on other arts projects. - To facilitate new business on behalf of Founder and Managing & Cultural Director - To orchestrate arts team creative sessions for development of new pitches - To proactively manage and develop relationships and partnerships with existing and new artists, galleries and cultural organisations - Take responsibility for the pricing and financial structure of projects, bids, tenders where required

About You

- A project deliverer with demonstrable experience in arts / architecture / design - Enthusiastic, knowledgeable and experienced in urban realm or artist production - A strong team leader - Passionate about urban placemaking and the arts sector - Love precision AND narrative - Be self-directed and able to deliver several projects simultaneously - Have a relevant degree and/or experience

What We Offer

Title – Head of Public Art Location – Clerkenwell, London Duration - This is a fixed term role for maternity cover and will last six months, with the potential of one year starting approximately March 2020. Terms - c£45k per annum
