Originating from the Scandinavian architectural tradition – aesthetically, socially and intellectually, we aim to create vibrant, sustainable buildings that transcend their physical bounds and provide lasting value to the user, culture, and society of which they are part.
We were founded in 1959 by architect Henning Larsen, whose name we proudly carry today. We create architecture with curiosity and artistic audacity that rests on a foundation of knowledge and attention to detail. Our projects are generous and give people the opportunity to experience the unexpected. We work together in a non-hierarchical community.
About the Role
Can you make global headlines on sustainable, Scandinavian architecture? And can you elevate the Henning Larsen brand through strategic, crosscontinent communication and marketing?
Why do we need you?
Henning Larsen is a global architecture brand with presence in six countries and projects on nearly every continent. Our communications must reflect our reach, and we aim to share inspiring stories that demonstrate how architecture and urban design solutions can shape a more sustainable future. As innovators and practical experts in sustainable urban development, cultural centers, housing and workplaces, we have a wide range of stories to tell. We want to expand our position within cities – and we want your help to connect with new audiences.
What will be your main responsibilities?
You will be responsible for promoting and managing the brand and the daily leader of our communication team. You will steer our communication, marketing and brand globally – from strategic initiatives to the day to day. You ensure that our communication and marketing stay on brand across all channels, markets and that everyone at Henning Larsen is up to speed on key talking points.
In January 2020 Henning Larsen joined Ramboll – a global engineering, design and consultancy company with a leading edge in creating sustainable cities and societies across the world. Our shared ambition is to pioneer next industry practice by delivering sustainable design solutions for people within cities, spaces and buildings that are based on evidence and insight. You will be part of the core team working to realize the ambition and together with our colleagues you will drive thought leadership and agenda setting activities that demonstrate the value of combining design thinking with deep expert knowledge and innovative technical expertise.
As our Global Communications, Marketing and Brand Director you will develop communications strategies and plans for our projects that generate global attention across owned and earned channels. Ideally, we’d like to see our stories featured in publications like the New York Times, Wallpaper, TED and Monocle.
What do we expect from you?
We expect you have a strong interest in architecture and a sense for good stories and sharp narrative angles, tailored for specific audiences and media recipients. You have managed a team of dedicated communications or marketing professionals and can ignite people’s passion through strong leadership. Solid project management abilities, strategic skills and the ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders as well as journalists and media influencers are also prerequisites to success in this role.
You have experience with strategic communication, marketing or brand communication from an agency, a brand-driven company or design or architecture studio. You have an education in communication or marketing. A high degree of English language proficiency is critical, and a flair for visual communication is a plus.
What do we offer?
Henning Larsen is a creative workplace with high ambitions. With us, you will find ample opportunities for personal and professional growth. You will become part of an international team working extensively with press, marketing and digital communication, coordinating these efforts with colleagues across the globe. Professionalism, community and good health are our highest priorities.
Unfortunately, it seems like this job is not available for international candidates. Unless you’re eligible for a work visa otherwise, please double-check with the company.
