🌽 Community of Practice Conference Nairobi 🌽 Aurelie Walker and Rachel Duggan are in Nairobi at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). They have been sharing the work we are leading on behalf of the Jameel Observatory. Working with the Food and Agricultural Organisation (FAO), Maanshiil Consulting, iShamba Limited, and Omeva Consulting the project seeks to improve communication methods between early warning providers and agricultural communities. The aim is to improve responses to warnings, allowing action to avoid crop failures. Aurelie gave an update on project progress and next steps. Rachel described how these international organisations came together to form a unique team thanks to the impact of Data for Children Collaborative. The event allowed them to form new relationships absorb knowledge from Pastoralist community leaders that will strengthen the project. #agritech #foodresilience

🌽 Harvesting Resilience🌽 We are delighted to be leading an international collaboration on behalf of the Jameel Observatory. The project is looking to tackle the disconnect between food security, natural disaster early warning systems, and communities in the Horn of Africa. Kicking off a week in Nairobi we were pleased to meet up with all of the impact collaboration research team for the first time in person at the Jameel Observatory food security early action community of practice meeting in Nairobi. Project partner Omeva Consulting's baseline report is almost complete, ready to shape the co-design of our community engagement methodology through iShamba Limited in Kenya and Maanshiil in Ethiopia. It was great to come together to progress our work in enhancing communication between early warning system providers and agricultural communities. 📸 Project partners in Nairobi Data for Children Collaborative #agritech #foodsecurity

We're proud to support the Mental Health Foundation's national campaign #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek. This year’s theme is movement: moving more for our mental health. To get ourselves moving more, we're undertaking an inter-office step challenge. The rivalry may be fierce, but the sentiment is solid. For ideas of ways to get involved check out the campaign website - https://lnkd.in/dnwpHze #MomentsForMovement #MHAW24

Consultants Neil Bhandary and Alasdair Fennell recently led a working session at the Medicines Manufacturing Innovation Centre in Glasgow. This is just one of CPI's state-of-the-art facilities that we will visit across the UK to discuss their exciting manufacturing and innovation scale-up capabilities. In our role as research and evaluation partner for the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Senior Consultant Alice Timbrell attended the launch of their new programme, CRT Together in Pontypridd, South Wales. The programme is a strategic partnership between Coalfields Regeneration Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support and aims to improve the cancer experience for those in deprived communities. It uses Link Workers to deliver a 1:1 service. Whilst in South Wales for the launch, Alice also met with some of the Link Workers and cancer specialists who helped to establish the programme. "It was a great opportunity to hear learnings from the programme set-up and their reflections on progress to date."- Alice.
