Had a very insightful lecture on the sustainable transformation models by Transitie coalitie Voedsel on the 2nd of April at the Provinciehuis Zuid-Holland . We hear so much about how our cities are changing but rarely delve deeper in the greater process of transformation and it's many stages. It was enlightening listening to our guest lecture Aarja Kapitein introducing us to the intervention matrix and different models for change followed in her work around the province. As a student it's nice to see where social theory meets ground realities. Hoping to see many such exciting examples as we progress in the lab. The Rotterdams WeerWoord and Inclusive Climate Action Rotterdam (ICAR) collaborated with Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam. The department IHS, Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies of Erasmus University Rotterdam , the specific module: Urban Environment, Sustainability and Climate Change asked RWW and ICAR to draft a question. The question was: What should an effective and equitable strategy for climate adaptation look like in Rotterdam?   On Friday 5th of April, the students gave their final presentation. They examined how to go from climate risks --> climate inequalities --> climate justice in Rotterdam. They examined the entire city but also zoomed in on different neighbourhoods and sub-neighbourhoods in Rotterdam. Data analyses, fieldwork, literature research, interviews and their own knowledge from the country of origin were included.   We from RWW and ICAR would like to thank the students for their valuable input.
