  • "The site of Tanjung Selor Islamic Center has many clusters of existing mature trees and biodiversity which are assets and protection from erosion. This needs to be maintained as much as possible and is the basis for placing a mass Islamic Center that has a low impact on the condition of the Site. The Grand Mosque is a regional landmark, the roof and building combine to form a landmark for the Tanjung Selor area. The Islamic Center will also be equipped with facilities and a multi-purpose building that will support Islamic learning for the surrounding community. #IslamicArchitecture #WaterSymbolism #SpiritualReflection #UrbanDesign #CommunityGathering #AblutionFacilities #TranquilSpaces #IslamicCenterDesign #CulturalHeritage #PublicSpaces"

  • How Digital Rendering is transforming urban design? It's like bringing imagination to life – giving designers the tools to create stunningly realistic visuals. As tech keeps moving, Digital Rendering keeps getting better, just like the findings from recent studies by Sapto Pamungkan et al. (2018) show. It's all about having the right tech setup. In urban planning circles, Digital Rendering is the game-changer. It lets designers dream big and share their visions with everyone involved. With technology always on the rise, urban design keeps evolving, creating cities that are not just sustainable but also breathtakingly beautiful. Here at PMA, we're all about embracing the latest trends and innovations. We would love to hear your thoughts on Digital Rendering and urban design. So, drop us a line in the comments, toss us a like, and feel free to share this post! #PMAResearch #DigitalRendering #UrbanDesign #Visualization #Technology #Innovation #UrbanPlanning

  • Water is an important element in Tanjung Selor Islamic Center area, being part of the mosque and also the water sensitive urban design strategy, a sustainable concept that uses a retention pond which will collect rainwater and a bioswale which will filter the water before it is taken back to the river. From an urban design perspective, water elements can contribute to the creation of engaging and harmonious public spaces within the Islamic center complex. They can serve as focal points for congregation and social interaction, encouraging community gatherings and fostering a sense of belonging among visitors. #IslamicArchitecture #WaterSymbolism #SpiritualReflection #UrbanDesign #CommunityGathering #AblutionFacilities #TranquilSpaces #IslamicCenterDesign #CulturalHeritage #PublicSpaces

  • Mayland Lake International Community Qingyuang, Guangdong Project Size: 283 ha In China, a captivating residential typology trend is emerging, driven by a fusion of traditional cultural values, technological innovation, and urbanization pressures. This trend is characterized by a rising interest in mixed-use developments that seamlessly integrate residential, commercial, and recreational spaces within a single complex. These dynamic environments cater to the evolving lifestyle needs of urban dwellers, offering convenience, connectivity, and a sense of community under one roof. Moreover, there's a growing emphasis on creating sustainable, human-centric designs that prioritize well-being and harmony with nature. Architectural features such as green spaces, natural light optimization, and smart home technologies are becoming ubiquitous, reflecting a shift towards more eco-conscious and technologically advanced living environments. Additionally, there's a resurgence of interest in vernacular architecture and traditional courtyard houses, reimagined through a contemporary lens. These modern interpretations of ancient design principles celebrate China's rich cultural heritage while addressing contemporary challenges such as densification and space constraints. By blending time-honored architectural elements with modern amenities and construction techniques, architects are crafting residences that offer a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity. This trend not only fosters a sense of cultural continuity and identity but also showcases China's innovative approach to reconciling the past with the present in the realm of residential design. #ChineseResidentialDesign #MixedUseDevelopments #UrbanLiving #SustainableArchitecture #TraditionalMeetsModern #CourtyardHouses #CulturalHeritage #SmartHomeTechnology #CommunityLiving #EcoFriendlySpaces

  • Open spaces in campus environments are integral to fostering a sense of community, facilitating social interaction, promoting well-being, and supporting various activities. When designing open spaces on a campus, several factors should be considered to ensure they meet the needs of students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
