HIP HOP HUB VOL.2

Along with a number of other stakeholders within urban culture, we train a new generation of young creators. They must lift our urban spaces and create life in the streets for the future. After a successful volume 1 (2015-2018), we are ready with a renewed focus on using creative expressions to prepare the next generation of cultural entrepreneurs.

CREATIVE CITY BRAND HELSINGBORG

Helsingborg is currently developing future welfare solutions with the overall goal of a smarter and more sustainable city. We are project partners specifically in the areas of urban safety and street art, aimed at increased livability. Our team has been chosen to contribute with our expertise, contributing through art panels and as guest speakers at various events.

REVITALIZING NEgLEcTED SPACES

Creative elements and street art can thrive and bring new energy to various urban spaces from housing areas to tunnels.

Through these initiatives, our experience tells us that municipalities can save on graffiti removal and experience greater social and cultural synergy. Dissatisfaction with the urban space in the local area is turned into to a new form of well-being and positive vibes.

Research and documentation work is a natural part of our process. Our unique process involves looking from the inside, giving new perspectives and new data to work with. In our branch we are one of the few to examine from this unique way.

Check out our video on our project “Greve Safer Tunnels” or go to our Urban Safety page for more information on how we can create safer and inspiring spaces together.

A CREATIVE VIBE IN THE CITY’S COMMERCIAL DISTRICT

We call Ringsted both home to our head office and our “creative project lab”. We love to practice what we preach right in our own backyard.

While often informal community engagement and urban safety activities, Ringsted is home to our tunnel program.

“Walls for Projects” uses two tunnels linking the northern Outlet Center to the city center. It provides artistic spaces to strengthen the connection, increases perceived safety, and forms a creative experience for the users.

The tunnels work as dynamic street art galleries, having invited big names in the street art world from Denmark but also Mexico, Palestine, Sweden, USA and Australia.

Check out the video “Kings of Province” an event within this program and hear how creative projects can bind neighborhoods together and engage the local area in a common project. Read more on how you can host your own project on our Local Engagement page.

INVITE the younger generation ALONG!

Our youth are tomorrow's promoters and they're an incredible resource when making initiatives targeting... yes, youth.

We organize activities, programs and materials of different formats to encompass all age groups to help the development of the local urban scene, enhanced with national and international street art artists.

  • We give support, sparring and inspiration to help the youth make more initiatives and become project makers themselves.

  • We strengthen creative efforts in schools, clubs and the local area in general by linking relationships with creative practitioners - in support of the local youth.

  • In our “pocket-money” initiatives, at-risk youth are compensated for their help before, during and after our projects.
